FEDERATED CO-OPS AND MILLE LACS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Federated is extremely pleased to have partnered with Deputy Kyle Burton K-9 Handler & Trainer for the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office for the second time.

We sponsored Deputy Kyles’ K-9 Unit several years ago for his then K-9 Partner Yazz. Yazz is now retired and Bongo (seen in the picture) has been recruited to take up where Yazz left off.
The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office is instrumental in keeping several of Federated’s locations, employees & patrons safe.

Federated’s donation was matched by our banking partner Cobank through their “Sharing Success Program”. We are deeply grateful to partner with Cobank to make this donation possible.

Deputy Burton said, “K-9 Yazz's career has been extraordinary. He is one of the highest decorated and awarded police dogs in the Midwest and the highest in the history of the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office. He has been deployed over 600 times and has had over 100 tracking arrests of potentially dangerous criminals.”

Deputy Burton went on to say, “I am once again honored and grateful to have your support for our K-9 unit. The money you donated to us last time has truly had a tremendous impact on the community and I would like to continue where Yazz has left off with Bongo our new K-9 to serve and protect us.”
