Seed Treatment. It’s Like Insurance.

treated seed protects crops from disease while promoting early growth
While crop insurance may protect your crop in the end, seed treatment is “insurance” at the start. “Seed treatments help the plants from Day 1,” said Cody Lezer, Federated’s seed manager at the Ogilvie location.

Seed treatment can help improve stand counts and promote better root growth to help plants find nutrients, and as grain prices continue to swing upward, seed treatment costs are reasonable (about 1-1.5 bu./ac.).

“You can put treatment right on the seed to help prevent diseases that can cause serious yield drag on plants,” said Lezer. Translation: lost yields, lost profit.

With just 48-hour notice, Federated will treat your seed and have it ready to go for your planter. You’ll protect yields and give your crop a great start.

Federated recommends these seed treatment products:

For wheat –
CruiseMaxx® Vibrance® Cereals (a fungicide treatment)

For soybeans –
CruiserMaxx® Vibrance® (a fungicide and insecticide treatment combination)
Vibrance® Trio (a fungicide treatment)
Heads Up® (a white mold suppression treatment)
Saltro® (a cyst suppression and treatment for Sudden Death Syndrome)
