Seed & Seed Treatment: Order, Call, Pick Up

Mar 29, 2023

Pick up seed from Federated agronomy locations soon.
As Cozy Lezer, Federated’s Ogilvie location manager, gears up for the spring rush, he offered a few notes and important reminders for growers:

  • Most of the corn seed is ready to ship or be picked up at Federated locations.
“Make sure to call your location” before heading out to pick up seed, just to be sure it’s ready to go,” said Lezer.

  • Soybean seed inventory is going fast, but Lezer said there is a “good supply of high-performance beans in Federated’s bulk soybean lineup.”
If you haven’t already, call your Federated Agronomist soon to lock in your soybean varieties.

  • Bulk soybeans are treated in Ogilvie and can be delivered to farms – but “we need a 24-hour window so we can schedule the truck routes,” Lezer said.
Call 24 hours in advance to schedule your soybean seed deliveries!

  • Liquid starter fertilizer is still in “tight demand and prices are continuing to strengthen,” said Lezer. Discuss options with your local Federated Agronomist and then lock in your liquid starter very soon.
And, remember to “give us 24-hour notice for bulk liquid fertilizer delivery (for routing),” Lezer said. Good communication helps everyone manage a busy spring better.
