Have you heard about Vyconic™? It’s the new trait stack on its way to your soybean fields in the not-too-distant future.

Vyconic soybean seed, which is currently in the licensing stage and getting cleared in all grain channels, is Bayer® Crop Science’s answer to the question of how to control the toughest weeds. Vyconic seed has “five herbicide tolerances” to create “one breakthrough soybean trait.”

What’s so great about this trait stack and why are we excited about it? “Because it brings a new trait stack … that’s very helpful for weed control,” said Kevin Carlson, Federated’s agronomy sales manager.

It has tolerances for glyphosate, glufosinate, dicamba, 2,4-D and mesotrione-based herbicides – a combination not found in any other seed product currently on the market.

“This is good news for the market,” said Carlson. Vyconic soybeans pave the path for new – and better – options in weed management. Watch for this seed in the 2026 Discovery Plots (assuming licensing is approved). Read more here.
