Tissue Sampling Determines Fertilizer Needs

Tissue sampling determines need for additional mid-season fertilizer
Tissue sampling is a valuable in-season tool that evaluates crop health and needs. Analysis of tissue samples provides information that helps determine what nutrient adjustments might be addressed with either foliar or broadcast fertilizer.

In combination with soil sampling and field mapping, tissue sampling allows growers to measure and adjust for crop needs “on the fly,” so to speak. Nitrogen applied early in the season may or may not be available to plants in late June. Tissue sampling determines what the crop needs – and how much it needs today.

Timely mid-season fertilization can boost yields and improve ROI. Talk to your Federated Agronomist for help with tissue sampling or recommendations once you have sampling results.
