“FieldAlytics is the platform we use to map fields, create spraying and spreading jobs, and dispatch those jobs to our applicators,” said Karson Schoening, Federated ag sales rep out of the Ogilvie location.

Federated’s agronomy team uses the FieldAlytics platform to create recommendations for spraying and spreading fertilizer, herbicides, and fungicides.

This time of year, it’s important for your Federated Agronomists to get the latest details on your fields and farms. Kevin Carlson, Federated’s agronomy sales manager, gave examples of the questions to be answered: Did anything change from 2024 to 2025? Does Federated know about that field you sold, or the land you’re renting or stopped renting? Did you rename a field or change its designation? Are you splitting any fields between two crops? Did “Grandpa’s 40” come out of production?

FieldAlytics makes it possible to keep Federated’s services running smoothly, whether the service is flat spreading and spraying, or variable rate custom applications with prescription services (i.e., precision ag).

FieldAlytics is also connected to Federated’s Merchant Ag accounting program, which makes billing and payments seamless.

Proper field ID, borders, and acreage data are critical to the Federated team efficiently dispatching services. With that info updated at this time of year, “when it comes time for planting season, there is no confusion or miscommunication,” said Schoening.

If you haven’t already met with your Federated Agronomist to update your FieldAlytics data, do so soon to ensure efficient services when you need them this growing season.
