Yesterday’s tour in Osceola (see video) was a great start to this year’s Discovery Plot Tours that continue each day this week, through Fri., Aug. 26, at locations throughout Federated’s service area.
Registration opens at 10 a.m. and the program gets underway at 10:30 with presentations by Federated agronomists and industry experts. Field tours follow and the morning concludes with lunch. If you haven’t already done so, please RSVP to your local agronomist – but plan to attend either way!
Today, Tues., Aug. 23 – Rush City – KGL Farm (Jason Holmstrom’s, in Harris)
Wed., Aug. 24 – Albertville – Patnode Dairy (Daryl and Andrew)
Thurs., Aug. 25 – Ogilvie – Larry Wilhelm Farm
Fri., Aug. 26 – Isanti – Paul Bostrom Farm
The 2022 plots feature “the newest corn hybrids – with a couple of old ones to compare to,” said Kevin Carlson, Federated’s agronomy sales manager. The plots feature the latest seed products on the market, including Brevant® (by Corteva®), a retail brand that is proving to be very competitive, especially in corn. (The Bostrom plot features Brevant soybeans.)
