Discovery Plot Days Right Around the Corner

Federated’s annual showcase of corn and soybean test plots runs the last week of August. This year’s Discovery Plot Tour days (and one evening) promise to deliver valuable crop management information and an up-close look at this year’s latest hybrids and varieties in the field.
 
On the docket prior to each field tour will be presentations on a variety of topics:
 

• Federated will provide an energy—including propane—update to help you plan your propane purchases for this fall.
• Scott Nelson, Federated’s agronomy director, will give an update on fertilizer for your fall (and future) crop nutrient planning.
• A representative from the grain division of CHS, Inc. will provide a grain market update and offer perspectives on crop marketing.
• Federated’s Kelly Meyer, business service specialist, will outline Federated’s financing offers for 2025, and will be ready to answer related questions.
• Your Federated Agronomists will provide crop updates from around the co-ops’ service areas.
• The agronomy team will also discuss their preferred corn and soybean fungicide, Miravis Neo® and how fungicides can impact yields.

A steak lunch (dinner on Thursday) will be provided following each field tour. John Swanson will be tending to the steaks on the grill.
