Control Drift to Maximize Herbicide Effectiveness

Array adjuvant improve effectiveness of herbicides
In a year when prices are high, herbicide effectiveness will be extra important. An adjuvant such as Array® is a “one-step product for precision [herbicide] application,” said Matt Kurtz, location manager at Federated’s Rush City location.

“For customers who want to keep the chemistry where they want it,” Kurtz said, “Array will help . . . because the product sticks.” AMS is a component of Array, along with the HPG (plant-based) polymer that “makes the water feel sticky,” said Kurtz.

Array also provides water softening to additionally improve herbicide effectiveness as well as a third ingredient to help control drift.

Array will keep more water on the surface of the plant longer, improving uptake. “In a drought year like 2021, plants had a hard time taking up herbicides,” said Kurtz. Array can help overcome those issues.

There is “excellent availability” of Array according to Kurtz. Talk to your Federated Agronomist about your adjuvant needs this year.
