Your Federated Agronomists are seeing the aphid populations rise, though not quite to treatable thresholds (as of Aug. 9). But that can change practically overnight.
Soybean aphids prefer temperatures in the 70s and 80s, with relative humidity below 78%. If the conditions are right, their populations can double in a few days. Their growth slows when temps rise into the 90s. Cool, rainy conditions, and any sort of plant stress can also speed aphid multiplication – and the damage they can do to the crop.
