Federated’s 2022 Discovery Plot Tours run Mon., Aug. 22, through Fri., Aug. 26, at locations throughout Federated’s service area. Registration opens at 10 a.m. and the program gets underway at 10:30 with presentations by Federated agronomists and industry experts. Field tours follow and the morning concludes with lunch. Please RSVP to your local agronomist.
Mon., Aug. 22 – Osceola – Gustafson Farm
Tues., Aug. 23 – Rush City – KGL Farm (Jason Holmstrom’s, in Harris)
Wed., Aug. 24 – Albertville – Patnode Dairy (Daryl and Andrew)
Thurs., Aug. 25 – Ogilvie – Larry Wilhelm Farm
Fri., Aug. 26 – Isanti – Paul Bostrom Farm
The 2022 plots feature “the newest corn hybrids – with a couple of old ones to compare to,” said Kevin Carlson, Federated’s agronomy sales manager. The plots well demonstrate the latest seed products on the market, including Brevant® (by Corteva®), a retail brand that is proving to be very competitive, especially in corn. (The Bostrom plot features Brevant soybeans.)
