Corey Nelson Retires after 46 outstanding years of service

Jun 06, 2025

It was with mixed emotions as we celebrated Corey Nelson's retirement. Corey turned in his key on May 30th after 46 years of outstanding service. He was well respected by every employee he worked with and the thousands of customers he serviced over his career. Corey started as a propane driver and ended his career leading and managing 17 propane drivers. He was the Location Manager for 5 locations.

Corey did a fantastic job training and developing his backfills, in fact, it will take two managers to do his job. His commitment to servicing and helping our customers was admired by all.  He was a tremendous partner to our agronomy customers especially during harvest when demand is high for propane to dry their crops. Federated would not have its success today with Corey’s leadership, friendship, and guidance.

In this picture,  Corey gave the team his last words of wisdom and thanks. He will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you, Corey, for making Federated Co-ops what it is today.
