Training and development are an important focus at Federated Co-ops. Our industry is constantly changing and growing; so we provide ongoing training and development to our sales, management, customer service, and operations staff.

We are a unified team at Federated Co-ops. Regardless of whether you deliver propane to a customer or help one of our farmers determine the optimum crop protection, we work together, across job roles and division to care for and support our customers. We call this the Power of One, and it’s an important part of our culture and our greatest strength.
You may start your Agronomy career as an Agronomy Intern, Sales Agronomist or an Agronomy Service Representative.
If operations is your interest, You may begin with Federated as a Full time or part time member of the agronomy team. Those positions include Equipment Operator, Driver and operations support.
We are always looking for people to work part time seasonal driving tender trucks. All you need is a Class B license. If you don’t have a commercial license, Federated has a Commercial Driving License program to help.
You may also begin with Federated as a Full-time or Seasonal Agronomy Team Member, operating and maintaining large, modern application equipment and supporting product delivery as a CDL Driver.

Energy Division employees deliver critical energy products to the homes and businesses of our patrons out of 19 locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
You may begin your career in the energy department in a variety of roles. Some start as Customer Service Representatives, handling orders, scheduling service work, billing, and responding to customer inquiries. Others begin as Propane or Bulk Fuel Delivery Drivers, ensuring our patrons receive essential energy products safely and on time. Both paths offer valuable experience and opportunities for growth within the department.

You can build experience working with our patrons at the counter of one of our Convenience Stores, apply your knowledge selling power equipment or feed out of one of our Country Stores, or you may help a customer select lumber at our Building Center. If pets are your passion, maybe consider starting your career helping customers select the right pet food and supplies at one of our country stores.
