Dan Davidson, of Federated Co-ops, in the middle, was proud to present a check for $10,000.  The donation was $5,000 from Federated Co-ops and $5,000 match from CHS who owns the Cenex brand.  Federated owns and operates 7 Cenex gas station in our trade territory. We are grateful that CHS partnered with us on this investment.

The gentleman on the left of Dan is Mark Dahlman on the right is Don O’Conner.  Mark, his wife Linda and Don are part of the Wright Area Community Organization. This organization works with the City of Wright, to find ways to make a stronger community.

The funds will be used to rebuild the ball field in the community. In season, the ball fields will be used by over 48 girls’ and boys’ youth teams ages 4 to high school level. It is also used by adults for a softball team. Over 600 kids are part of the youth teams that will play on the field for decades to come. It is great to see our youth getting out from behind the screen and spending time outside building relationships and making new friends. We believe investing in the next generation.

These investments in our community only make them stronger. When we state it is YOUR LAND, YOUR COMMUNITY, YOUR CO-OP, we are very sincere in doing everything we can to help our communities thrive. Not only do we make monetary donations but many of our teammates volunteer in the community on organizations like the fire departments.

The field will be ready to play ball in the spring of 2026.
