YOUR LAND, YOUR COMMUNITY, YOUR CO-OP. The meaning behind our tagline is we are grateful our patrons allow us to come on to their land, we are proud to work and live in this great community, and the co-op is owned by the patrons that use it. If you do business with us, it is your co-op. We appreciate our patrons for acting like owners by their support. Our annual meeting was held at our new shop in Ogilvie on April 2th, 2026. Thanks to all the patrons who attended our meeting. It was great to see the familiar faces.
Federated had another very solid year and is very proud of the partnerships that have been developed over the decades with our patrons. At the meeting, our 2025 results were reviewed. The team delivered net margin of $10.5 million. We continue to make investments in safety, our people, equipment, and our processes to drive down our cost to serve. These results translate in a patronage payout of 9.47%, all cash, for all purchases of Ag, propane, and retail products. For fuel purchases the co-op will pay out 5 cents a gallon rebate. All in, Federated will return over $4.5 million back to the patrons during the month of April. We are grateful to all patrons who put their trust in us. Also, at the meeting four board members were unanimously re-elected. Congratulations to Clark Anderson, Mark Carlson, Ross Gerth, and Jason Holmstrom who will serve on the board until 2029.
Over the last 5 years the co-op has returned over $20.9 million back to the patrons in form of 100% cash. Our ability to have this return is the clear result of patrons trusting and believing in the co-op system. It is so critical in the ever-changing market we all compete in. We are also very proud of the donations we make to the communities we live in. This past year we donated money for 43 scholarships, 4H clubs, fire departments, and local fairs to name a few. We know these donations will make a difference for all for years to come in the community.
