Pre-mixed for Post-emerge Excellence

Kyro offers broad-spectrum weed control.
For an excellent post-emerge herbicide that handles plenty of challenges while being extremely corn-safe, look no further than Kyro® Herbicide.

“Kyro gives us broad-spectrum weed control of over 60 different weed species, including waterhemp, giant ragweed, and many grass species,” notes Brad Hipsag, Federated ag sales rep at the Ogilvie location. “It’s a very good fit for conventional corn acres.”

With three premixed modes of action, Kyro Herbicide is an excellent post-emergent herbicide option, offering both contact and residual weed control.

The three modes of action are:
  • Encapsulated acetachlor (Warrant Group 15)
  • Topramezone (Impact Group 27)
  • Clopyralid (Stinger Group 4)
“Because it’s a very corn-safe herbicide, we can spray it on corn up to 24 inches without any crop response,” Hipsag said. “That leads to healthier plants and higher yields.”

While Kyro spray rates range from 35-60 fl. oz/acre, “We want to spray full rates of 60 fl. oz. to get a full 1 oz. of topramezone (or Impact),” Hipsag said. “That’s especially true for best grass control.”

Kyro should be tank-mixed with atrazine when possible, and glyphosate in glyphosate-tolerant corn. Use a crop oil adjuvant like Stallion™ or Diplomat and AMS for surfactants.
