“From unpredictable weather to costly diseases, each season presents different challenges that can hurt your overall plant health,” said Brad Hipsag, Federated ag sales rep in Ogilvie.

Fungicide applications can improve plant health and help maximize yield potential. “Not all fungicides are the same,” he said. Federated recommends Miravis® Neo from Syngenta® with its three modes of action to deliver longer residual disease control.

Miravis Neo covers more diseases [than other fungicides] to provide greener, healthier – and potentially higher yielding – plants. And, it promotes better plant health across all weather conditions, according to Carson Unterberger, Syngenta’s retail rep for Federated.

Additionally Miravis Neo is a “product with longevity,” said Unterberger, and that’s important when trying to maximize yield.

“Miravis Neo contains both curative and preventative properties, giving growers peace of mind for a longer period of time after application,” she said.

Carson said, “I get excited to talk with growers about their ROI potential with Miravis Neo because of its consistency in performance.

On corn,
  • the best application timing for Miravis Neo fungicide is VT at 13.7 fl. oz./ac., and, tank mixing with an adjuvant such as Masterlock is highly recommended.
  • Miravis Neo can target anthracnose, eye spot, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, rust, and tar spot.

On soybeans,
  • application helps defend against top yield-robbing foliar and soilborne soybean diseases, such as anthranose, brown spot, frogeye leaf spot, and white mold.

“With or without disease, Miravis Neo leads to improved overall plant health in both corn and soybeans,” said Hipsag.
