Discovery Plot Tours Underway

Aug 27, 2024

Growers at Discovery Plot meeting 2024
Discovery Plot Days are in full swing this week. You can still catch one of three remaining events, including the evening event in Rush City on Aug. 29. Give your Federated Agronomist a quick call to RSVP.

The tours deliver valuable crop management information and an up-close look at this year’s latest hybrids and varieties in the field, and other valuable information, including:

  • An energy—propane and diesel—update to help you plan your propane purchases for this fall.
  • An update on fertilizer for your fall (and future) crop nutrient planning (by Scott Nelson, Federated’s director of agronomy).
  • A grain market update and perspectives on crop marketing (by a representative from the grain division of CHS, Inc.).
  • An outline of Federated’s financing offers for 2025 (by Kelly Meyer, Federated’s business service specialist).
  • Crop updates from around the co-ops’ service areas (by your Federated Agronomists).
  • A discussion of Federated’s preferred corn and soybean fungicide, Miravis Neo® and how fungicides can impact yields.

A steak lunch (dinner on Thursday) will be provided following each field tour.
