Seed products with multiple modes of action are quickly becoming the go-to choice for growers in the fight against the toughest weeds: waterhemp and giant ragweed. These seed products are also subject to rapid turnover, “which is great,” said Kevin Carlson, Federated’s agronomy sales manager, “because they will be improved at every turn.”
The varieties planted in 2020 will change in 2021. “It’s a good idea to explore – if you haven’t already converted to – these new systems,” he said. “Give them serious consideration.”
The Enlist and Liberty Link systems have proven themselves more versatile than the Roundup Ready® system for post-emerge clean up following pre-merge herbicide applications. Carlson said, “We continue to see a high level of excellence” in the performance of these seed systems.
