Meet Ogilvie’s New Custom Applicator

Isaiah Fiedler hopped on a spreader soon after Federated hired him last fall and made his way to growers’ fields to spread fertilizer and lime. This spring, Fiedler will be a certified custom applicator and will soon head for fields in the Ogilvie area.
Federated put Fiedler through on-the-job training in Fall 2023 and discovered his love for running equipment. The son of a Braham farmer, Fiedler said he’s been “jumping up on any piece of equipment [on the farm] since [he] was about four years old.” He said, “I’d either figure it out myself, or my dad would help me figure it out.”
Prior to joining Federated, Fiedler ran heavy equipment in a gravel pit and for a construction company. Getting behind the wheel of a sprayer or spreader suits him perfectly. “I love being in ‘my own’ piece of equipment . . . with my own peace of mind,” he said.
Fiedler is up and running with Federated’s custom application app, FieldAlytics®, and he understands the importance of his role applying crop inputs for Federated growers.
He’s a local guy who already knows a good number of farmers in the area, but he looks forward to meeting more of the co-ops’ growers in the upcoming season.
